Do you know anyone that:
· Is between the ages of 16 - 21
· Is Out-of-School (dropout or graduate)
· Needs help with career planning
· Wants to find a job
If the answer is yes!, We will pay you $100 if
· You refer the person to our Youth Enrichment Training Program; and
· The person is determined eligible for the program; and
· The person enrolls in the program; and
· The person participates in at least 20 hours of program activities.
· THE PROGRAM IS FREE - There is no cost to the youth
Who is eligible:
Economically disadvantaged youth who are 16-21 years of age, and fall into one or more of the following categories:
· A youth deficient in basic literacy skills
· A youth who requires additional assistance to complete an educational program or to secure and hold a job
· A youth who is homeless, a runaway or in a foster home
· A youth who is pregnant or a parent
· A youth who is a school dropout
· A youth who is an offender (has been arrested and convicted or pleaded no contest to a crime)
Youth Enrichment Program Activities:
The YET Program is funded by WorkForce One and runs through June 30, 2005. Youth spend anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months receiving training and will be able to advantage of the following benefits:
· Career Planning and Job Placement Assistance
· Life Skills, Life Earnings, and Escaping Poverty Workshops
· Leadership Development & Community Service Activities
· Receive support services such as child care or transportation
· Earn up to $300 in incentives
· Entrepreneurship Training
